Isefa - Receiving The Hand Of Ifa

HAND OF IFA (ISEFA) DONE THE ANCIENT TRADITIONAL WAY

Isefa is a ritual that marks a major milestone in the Ifa/Orisa journey. It is also known as receiving one hand of Ifa, and it is a ceremony that is done everywhere you find Ifa. One of the major benefits of Isefa is that it can be done in absentia, you don't have to travel to Nigeria and you get to have the energy of Ifa, represented by your ikin ifa(sacred palm nuts), which serve as your Ifa shrine.

Here are some other key points about Isefa.

- It is a precursor step to full Ifa initiation, where one would receive the second and subsequent “Hands” (sets) of Ifa.

- A “Hand” of Ifa is a complete set of Ikin (sacred palm seeds) making up the consecrated Ifa.

- Isefa is long-known to help devotees develop spiritual intimacy with their Ifa and Ori inu (inner head), as well as help them navigate through life with heightened, greater tranquility.

- The ceremony can be performed in-person or long distance.

- Isefa is one of the first steps before Ifa Initiation (Itefa). It will inform you of your life path up until this point and introduce you to the Orisa(s).

- It is a transformative and manifesting experience that opens up a deeper connection with one's destiny and spiritual path.

- The cost of Isefa is CURRENTLY $1,650 which covers about a two weeks ritual program. With our Isefa. We have a list of stages which follow the ancient, traditional rites. We believe very strongly in sticking to the ways of our forefathers:

1. First stage: The process begins with rituals including fortification with cold papa, your attendance isn't needed here. It's exclusively done by the Babaláwos.

2. Second stage: More sacred fortification rituals done exclusively by the Babalawos, including the use of palm oil for calmness .  Your attendance isn't needed here.

3. Third stage which involves the cleansing of your Ifa and feeding of this Ifa with lots of spiritual items. Your ikin are also buried, until Ifa says it's okay for them to be brought out of the earth. We do not rush this process.

4. The final stage which involves the cleansing of your Ifa, feeding of your Ifa, casting of the Ifa(divination) to receive detailed information about your life and receive the guidance on how you can live a well fulfilled life(through the temporary Odu that will serve as your guide until initiation). All necessary Ẹbọ (spiritual sacrifices for a better living for you) would be done on this day too. Your attention on a video call would be needed here.
